Ohana (お花 or "flowers") mi (見 or "look at") is a traditional festival in Japan to celebrate the arrival of spring. There is traditionally lots of eating, drinking, and chatting done under the beautiful [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sakura cherry blossom] trees. 

This is our 9th Ohanami Festival in Cambridge. Hope to see you all there!

== What Should I Bring? ==

Ohanami is basically a picnic so bring things you would bring to a picnic.

The weather looks to be nice all weekend (65F/18C), but it will cool off at night, so plan accordingly!  It would be a good idea to bring blankets or tarps to sit on.  Also feel free to bring games, musical instruments, delicious things to eat or snack on and drinks to keep you hydrated. We'll be providing drinks as well.

In terms of alcohol: Be advised that this is a public place so please '''take care to be discreet'''. Obviously, that means no drinking out of marked bottles. If you bring booze, ''please'' transfer it into thermoses, cups, or other nondescript containers. We'll have sangria in coolers and cups.
