Although we usually ask medium-term guests (as in, more than couple weeks) to offset the costs of staying with us when they can afford it, we're not interested in Craiglist subletters or folks interested in ''just renting a room''. We really are looking for people who are interested in joining our little community. We think our community is pretty nice and, if we invite you into our place, it's because we think you're pretty nice too! We understand that you've got your life and projects — and we do too — and we'll totally give you the space to do that. But we really do want to hang out with you sometimes as well! | |||

We expect guests to participate in the cooperative by contributing to purchases of food and drink for the house and by consuming things that the house buys. The details of the cooperative -- in terms of payment, what is purchased, and special items that belong to one person, etc. -- is always up for discussion. | * The Acetarium is a cooperative living space. ** Part of our coop is that we eat most dinners and weekend brunches together and do other meals together when possible. You don't have to, of course, but we'd love it if you did. You're welcome to help cook as well. In general, those who don't cook should consider cleaning up after the meal. | ** Part of our coop is that we eat most dinners and weekend brunches together and do other meals together when possible.
