| The following guidelines are designed for all residents and guests at the [[Acetarium]].
| | Nicole Kirker - Oh my gosh Scott- I LOVE these photos! They are just beftuiaul! So many sweet little images. I looked at them for such a long time, then I looked at them again and again! They are too cute! I am SO glad that we captured these images of our little Gracie at such a sweet age- 5 weeks in these photos!You do such a wonderful job as a professional photographer. I feel so comfortable and relaxed working with you. Each image that you capture is special and they really show our family in special moments. I love that we did the photos with a cobble stone street in the back ground too- that keeps to my pregnancy story -driving down a cobble stone street to induce labor (it worked- I went into labor the same night we drove down that street!)Thanks so much! I can't wait to work with you again and again and again. You're going to see all the big moments in our life- our wedding, babies, etc and thanks to you, we'll have great photos of them!~Nicole |

| === Guidelines for all guests ===

| * Acetarium proprietor [[Mika Matsuzaki]] is Japanese and the Acetarium has adopted the Japanese custom of taking shoes off before entering the house. The less-well known traditional of removing pants is optional, but strongly advised.

| * The Acetarium is smoke-free area. Please do not smoke cigarettes or anything else on the premises. Incense and hookahs with flavored tobacco are permitted and encouraged! Smoking can sometimes be possible on the Acetarium roof (please ask first) and is always possible on Elm street outside the building.

| * The Acetarium is vegetarian. We do not buy or cook meat and would prefer that you do not bring meat to cook or eat in the Acetarium either (at least not while we are around). Dairy products and eggs are fine.

| * The Acetarium has a nice roof but it is supposed to be off-limits to residents. In certain situations, visiting the roof may be possible with permission. Please ask!

| * The Acetarium residents like to invite our friends for dinner and other meals. We hope, as our guest, you invite people too! We eat most meals at our table in the kitchen. However, our library doubles as our dining room for larger groups. When guests are staying in the library, we may need to use their room for consuming meals.

| === Guidelines for long term guests ===

| * The Acetarium is a cooperative living space. We buy food and drink as a group and share them. We expect long term guests to participate in the cooperative by contributing to purchases of food and drink for the house and by consuming things that the house buys. The details of the cooperative -- in terms of payment, what is purchased, and special items that belong to one person, etc. -- is always up for discussion.

| ** Part of our coop is that we eat most dinners together and breakfast, lunch or (on weekends) brunch when possible. You don't have to, of course, but we'd love it if you did. You're welcome to help cook as well. In general, those who don't cook should consider cleaning up after the meal.

| * The Acetarium is a very bike-friendly space. Long term guests are encouraged to bicycle and several bicycles are available to Acetarium guests!

| ** The guest room doubles as our "garage" and contains all of our bikes. This can sometimes get tricky when it is also containing our guests! One things it means that people will need to go in and out of that room sometimes to get bikes, tools, or parts. We will always try to minimize this. We can also try to coordinate so we leave bikes in the hallway if a bike will be needed before the guest is awake. In our experience, this has rarely a problem and we will always try to be as flexible as we can to try and avoid interruptions.
