This page is for planning our trip to Mt. Rainier. We've signed up for a trip from April 27 to May 1 2018 with | RMI Expedition.

Schedule

Day 1 (April 27): Meet at Rainier BaseCamp in Ashford, WA at 3-6PM.

*TODO* Find a way to get to Ashford. Rideshare?
*TODO* Get a place to stay in Ashford on April 27-29.

Day 2 (April 28): Meet at Rainier BaseCamp in Ashford, WA at 8:30AM-5PM.

Day 3 (April 29): Meet at Rainier BaseCamp in Ashford, WA at 8:15 a.m. A shuttle will take us to Paradise. Paradise (5,400') to Camp Muir (10,060') for nearly 4.5 miles. All day. Tents (or huts if bad weather).

Day 4 (April 30): Acclimatize. Training in AM; planning in PM.

Day 5 (May 1): Summit day.

Non-food items to bring

Food items

  • 4 mountain lunches, 2 dinners, and 2 breakfasts on the mountain.
  • For dinner, we'll have boiling water but no ability to simmer or cook food.
  • Will have access to plenty of water at Camp Muir.
