[[User:Willscott|Willscott]] (on 2023-01-27): We've talked about the balance between ability to buy-out a leaving owner, and handling potential divergence between 'market value' and 'purchase value'. The thing that seems best for the community in my view would be something along the lines of:
 
# the house is given the option to buy-back the ownership share at <code>inflation-adjusted-purchase-price</code>.
# for sales at market value, half of the difference <code>[market value - inflation-adjusted-purchase-price]/2</code> goes to the house.
# for market sales, house retains 'right of first suggestion' for purchasers. (with some time boxing probably)

Willscott (on 2023-01-27): We've talked about the balance between ability to buy-out a leaving owner, and handling potential divergence between 'market value' and 'purchase value'. The thing that seems best for the community in my view would be something along the lines of:

  1. the house is given the option to buy-back the ownership share at inflation-adjusted-purchase-price.
  2. for sales at market value, half of the difference [market value - inflation-adjusted-purchase-price]/2 goes to the house.
