Once again, I'm going to be making a series of GNU/Linux themed cocktails for the the SeaGL cocktail hour 2021 edition. The good news is that the source for the cocktails will be available! The bad news is that you'll have to compile these drinks yourself.

I'll list the drinks here as soon as I finish the recipes. Until then, here's a list of things from easiest to most difficult. This includes one non-alcoholic drink (marked EtOH-free). If you planning on making drinks with me, you'll probably need to shop for ingredients. My advice it to chose what you want have and shop just for that drink. Or just bring a beer or glass of wine a cup of tea to watch and hang out!

You will be able to make almost everything if you have bottles of (a) Tequila, (b) Cynar, and sherry as well (c) limes and grapefruit that you can juice, and (d) beer!

1. Something based on beer

1a. If you like dark beer:

  • Beer! (I'm going to try to get a Black Butte Porter from Deschutes)
  • Cynar

1b. Or if you prefer something lighter:

  • Beer! (I'm going to with a lighter sour beer, probably a gose)
  • Cynar

1c. Or even lighter

  • Beer (a lager, like Corona)
  • Lime
  • Salt

2. Something refreshing (with or without EthO)

  • Lime juice (fresh if possible)
  • Grapefruit juice (fresh if possible)
  • Soda water
  • Tequila

3. Something stirred and dark (think negroni)

  • Tequila
  • Sherry (ideally a Fino)
  • Cynar

4. Something complicated

For this one, you'll need an iSi NO² charger or similar like you would use for whipcream.

  • Tequila
  • Egg whites
  • Grand Marnier
  • Fresh orange juice (finely strained)
  • Peach bitters
  • Salt (black salt is ideal)

5. Something to end with

  • Tequila
  • Mezcal if you have it!
  • Cynar
